Jen Schaefer

Jen Schaefer leads the content design team at Netflix, working across diverse product areas ranging from sign-up to streaming to the studio.

Prior to Netflix, she managed the travel and shopping content strategy teams at Google, where she co-led the annual UX Writing Summit.

Since her first job in tech as the writer for an Internet incubator two decades ago, Jen has shaped products large and small with a strategic, human-centered approach to design and language.

Anna Söderbom

Anna has been working in content for over 10 years. Most recently at Swedish tech companies where she’s built and scaled teams that work with localisation and UX writing.

She now runs her own business and helps companies work with these disciplines.

Candi Williams

By day, Candi’s a content leader who loves helping her team thrive, solving complex ContentOps challenges, and championing inclusivity.

By night, she’s a published author of four books, a Reiki healer, and trained sommelier (who tends not to combine them all at once).

When she’s not flying the content design flag, you’ll probably find her shuffling tarot cards, growing her crystal collection, or seeking out more brightly coloured kicks.

Heldiney Pereira

Heldiney is a designer, mentor to design graduates, and director of a branch of the mental health charity, Samaritans (where he looks after a team of 100).

He's on a mission to create opportunities for people of colour to feel supported and succeed in the design industry, bring design closer to education, and reduce the number of people dying by suicide.

He's currently lead product designer at Monzo Bank, helping design the core experience for Monzo's 9 million UK customers and growing – envisioning a future in which we design products that work well for all of society, not just a select, fortunate few.

Shannon Leahy

Shannon has worked at the intersection of words, strategy, design, and people for more than 15 years. She is currently a senior content design manager at Capital One.

Shannon calls Richmond, Virginia home, and organizes meetups for the content and UX communities.

When she’s not exclaiming about error messages, you can find her snuggling up for movie night with her family and their dog Ginger Snap. Shannon’s favorite neutral is leopard print. Her superpower is asking questions…lots of questions.

He also teaches Content Design fundamentals at several universities in Barcelona and has an introduction to UX Writing course on Domestika. In addition, he's the founder of Content Design España.

Mario is always trying to find the best tacos in town, listening to stand-up comedy, and teaching his two kids about Mexican Lucha Libre. You can reach out to him on LinkedIn.

Danielle Small

Danielle Small is a sr. staff content designer at Pinterest and leads the Pinner content design team.

Previously, they created Twitter’s trauma-informed content design framework, which helped transform the Trust & Safety org.

Before they got into content design, they earned a B.S. in Journalism at the New School University and crafted strategy and messaging for Fortune 500 companies, startups, agencies, and nonprofits.

Nicole 1nic2.png

Nicole Michaelis leads Content Design at Wolt for Doordash. She’s currently focused on scaling Content Design across a 3-sided marketplace, while keeping her team small and focused on high-impact work only.

Nicole has worked in the industry for over a decade, for companies big and small, as a freelancer and in-house. She believes being a good leader is about being authentic and saying it as it is. Nicole also hosts the Content Rookie podcast

When she’s not doing all things content, she chases her toddler and 2 dogs across her clover lawn, does pottery or writes. Sometimes poems, sometimes spicy takes on the state of design.
